Well, winter has arrived in Oklahoma. And, as is the norm with Oklahoma winters, we were dumped on with a sheet of ice. While at work today, my rookie took the photos below. They were taken at Max Westheimer Airport in Norman. It just goes to show how much power there is in a little ice. We were fortunate, we never lost power (as least not to date!). However, I know of several friends who did. The scenery in general, was beautiful, it looked like a war zone. It actually reminded me of a tornado scene. Trees were just stripped to the trunks in some places, and there were broken tree limbs everywhere. They blocked streets, knocked down power lines and fell on cars. I had more pictures, but I'll have to find them. The best phrase I can think of to describe it is "Beautiful Disaster."
